The Business Design Centre based in North London in the borough of Islington is often an overlooked gem of a venue in the bustling Metropolis of London. It is situated just 1o minutes from Kings Cross St. Pancras International and a short stroll from Angel tube station. The Business Design Centre, hosts a staggering 300 events a year and has the ability to provide large scale trade shows to small intimate conferences and business banquets.
What many don’t realise as they step foot under glass arches for their event is that the North London Exhibition hall has a rich vibrant history going back to the Victorian era. It was inspired by one of the most famous exhibitions, The Great Exhibition of 1851 and the infamous Crystal Palace headed by Prince Albert, and designed by Joseph Paxton, thus The Royal Agricultural hall was born.
After it’s move from Sydenham to Islington and it’s opening as the ‘Business Design Centre’ by former Prime minister Margaret Thatcher in 1986 as an Exhibition and conference centre. Business Design Centre or BDC has become an Icon for Islington and one of London’s best loved venues.
